DayStar Launched to the Stratosphere

The video below was taken by our “aft” facing GoPro camera. You can see Jed and Kevin doing last minute checks on the payload before launch. The checks went OK and launch was successful.

Notice about half way through the video, the WASP beam comes loose (on accident), and proceeds to beat on the DayStar telescope repeatedly. Luckily, DayStar was built sturdy, and even a 5000 lb beam couldn’t make a dent!

1) Fill up the balloon:
